Do you want to hear about my experience of the treatment I received for actinic keratosis, the pre-cursor to skin cancer?

A couple of years ago, I went to the dermatologist about a bit of dry skin on my face – and came away with the news that I would have skin cancer in five years.

What?!

Well, that would be the scenario if I didn’t treat it right now, apparently, so treating it seemed like a good idea.

I was given imiquimod, and this book explains what I went through whilst taking this treatment. If you’re about to go through the same thing, it’s good to know what to expect, because it isn’t a pleasant process – forewarned is forearmed, as the saying goes. So…

• Do you want to understand exactly what happens to you during treatment, to your skin? It’s not nice!
